Functional Medicine Program Coordinator & Public Relations Director, HealthCore Center

Dallas, TX (April 2013 – Dec 2014)

  • Oversaw all tasks and procedures for setting up new Functional Medicine Program.

  • Conducted pre-qualification interviewing for patients and testing upon intake.

  • Coordinated care with integrated medicine team; chiropractic, medical and nutritional staff

  • Managed advertising, networking, publicity, online presence, and interfaced with various marketing, SEO, coaching and health consultants on behalf of owner.

  • Designed and maintained center websites, business funnels, online advertising, Facebook ad campaigns, online and printed marketing materials

 

Graduate Research Assistant, Office of Disability Accommodation, UNT (Aug 2009 - Aug 2011)       

  • Interviewed, hired, and trained team responsible for converting ten years of student files, medical records and confidential forms onto new digital office platform.

  • Assisted Director and Manager on special events, annual inventory and staff audits.

  • Administered midterm/final testing in adapted formats to students with various disabilities.

 

Graduate Advisor, University Program Council, UNT (Aug 2007 - Aug 2009)       

  • Coordinated management and supervision of event series, special interest panel discussions and other quality university student programming, advising five student coordinators.

  • Attended multiple leadership and event planning conferences as well as co-facilitated day and week-long Event Coordinator and Leadership training programs.

  • Provided moral and emotional support to students when necessary; offered guidance in managing the work-school balance and self-care amidst demands of their position.

 

Service Experience
 

President, (S.A.G.E) UNT Society for Awareness, Growth, and Enlightenment (Aug 2008 - May 2011)       

  • Interdisciplinary and inter-faith student group which hosted guest speakers to lecture

  on topics of spirituality and religion from multiple world cultures and native groups.

  • Hosted campus wide inter-faith panel and provided excursions to cultural events.

 

Church Board of Trustees, Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (May 2004 - May 2006)       

  • Served as Secretary 2004-2005 and Vice-President 2005-2006 (multiple projects).

  • Co-wrote two successful grant proposals that brought $20,000 into the Fellowship and spear-headed various committees and community projects.

 

President, (ASA) UNT Anthropology Student Association (Sept 2003 - May 2005)       

  • Transformed UNT ASA from a 5 member, inactive student group into a thriving and involved 25 member group, hosting at least three major events and two service projects per academic year.

  • FIND Project: Initiated project to publish a 100+ page guide to ethnic services in the DFW area. Coordinated content, edited, sold advertising, and published first edition Spring 2005. Organized a committee to revise and publish second edition during 2005-2006 academic year.

  • UNT Diversity and Community Service Conference 2005: Organized one day conference hosted by ASA for the College of Community Service. Managed all aspects: fund raising, call for papers, soliciting guest speakers, room scheduling, program design, and publicity.​
